Awake! Awake!!

Like the voice of one crying in the wilderness [shouting in the desert], Theophilus Sunday ended 2024 and started 2025 with 2 heart-piercing projects that are shaping the course of the new year for the believer in Christ Jesus. He released an album titled “Father of Spirits” on the 31st of December 2024 and an EP “Awake (Live)” on the 1st of January 2025. These heaven-sent projects are essentials as we embark on a purposeful year as individuals and as a collective.

“Father of Spirits” is an 8-track album that’s engineered to revive our thirst for Jesus. It’s a burning hunger expressed excellently through the ministration of 1Spirit & Theophilus Sunday. It’s a refreshing you probably didn’t know you needed. This isn’t entertainment! It’s the birthing of a long-awaited revival in our hearts.

“Awake (Live)” is a 5-track EP we didn’t see coming. It’s not even being promoted. But it’s as beautiful as the realm from whence it came. Each song is not just a song, it’s a battle cry — a reawakening of sleeping giants in the Body of Christ. The last song on the EP, which is same titled, starts with the lyrics;

“Intercessors arise! Gird up your loins with strength. Contend for nations in prayer; Holy army arise!”

It’s a call to arms — a mobilization of GOD’s end-time army across the nations, as the seasons change and the clouds gather their rain in an atmosphere of gross darkness upon the face of the earth. But we are reminded by these 2 projects that “the darker the darkness, the brighter we burn”. Theophilus Sunday isn’t just a music minister with an exceptionally unique sound, he is a thunderous voice of one wailing in the wilderness, preparing the way for the 2nd coming of our LORD & Savior, Jesus Christ — which is sooner than we can imagine.
